2025 Impact Report: Celebrating a decade of helping children move more, feel better and thrive

This year, The Daily Mile Foundation celebrates 10 years of supporting children to experience the benefits of daily movement.

What began as a simple idea in one Scottish primary school has grown into a global movement, helping more than 5.5 million children across 22,000 settings in over 100 countries to build healthier habits through daily movement.

Today, we are proud to launch our first ever Impact Report, bringing together the stories, milestones, partnerships and evidence that have shaped The Daily Mile over the last decade.

The report highlights the difference daily movement can make to children's physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, friendships and readiness to learn. It also celebrates the teachers, schools, partners and supporters who have helped make this impact possible.

Highlights from the report

  • More than 5.5 million children reached worldwide
  • Active in over 22,000 schools and settings
  • Delivered across 100 countries
  • Supported by more than 130 partners globally
  • Growing evidence demonstrating the positive impact of daily movement on children's health and wellbeing

But beyond the numbers are thousands of stories from schools and children who have embraced The Daily Mile and made daily movement part of everyday life.

Everything we have achieved over the last 10 years has been made possible through the dedication of teachers, schools, partners and supporters who share our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to move, belong and thrive.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
